The role
Role Overview
The Solution Sales Manager will lead and develop the Presales function supporting SoftwareOne’s cloud and managed services business in India. The role focuses on Team Management, solution design, deal shaping, bid management, and driving high-quality customer proposals in collaboration with sales, delivery, and partner ecosystems.
Responsibilities
•Lead and build a high-performing presales team supporting cloud and managed services opportunities in India for Channel (Indirect) AWS business
• Partner closely with sales teams to qualify opportunities and shape winning solutions
• Design end-to-end technical and commercial solutions for Channel Partners
• Drive proposal development for RFPs, RFIs, and proactive deals
• Collaborate with delivery, architecture, and partner teams to ensure feasibility and execution alignment
• Support Go-To-Market initiatives for cloud managed services and modernization offerings
• Engage with customer stakeholders, including C-level executives, to articulate solution value and business outcomes
• Ensure consistency in solution design, pricing constructs, SLAs, and delivery models
• Develop reusable solution assets, frameworks, and presales best practices
• Mentor and grow the presales team, building strong technical and consultative capabilities
• Work across ecosystems including hyperscalers, system integrators, and managed service partners to stitch together complete solutions
What we need to see from you
• Experience in presales, solution consulting, or solution architecture in IT services or managed services
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure solutions, with focus on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
• Experience working with Channel Partners and large deal cycles (RFP/RFI, managed services, outsourcing deals)
• Strong understanding of service delivery models, SLAs, pricing constructs, and commercial proposals
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience working with system integrators, hyperscalers, or managed service providers
