job: Drive Quality focus into Service Centre Operations to ensure that quality
issues/ deviations are highlighted, resolved to ensure defect free supply of
products. The role would encompass Inspection of Fabricated, Cast/Forged, and
Machined Supplier Parts at Receipt Inspection Report quality deviations in the
database and communicate them to suppliers for corrective actions. Resolve
supplier quality issues on the shop floor and ensure adequate corrective actions
are implemented. Conduct product and process quality audits and inspections at
supplier locations. Establish inspection protocols for new service offerings.
Ensure timely calibration of gauges and instruments. Support suppliers in
process improvement initiatives. Maintain ISO 9001 QMS documentation. Inspection
and Testing Activities Perform preliminary and final inspections using
applicable gauges. Conduct Dye Penetrant (DP) testing, including post-cleaning
for DP tests. Carry out hydrostatic tests and welding inspections of conveyors.
Perform dimensional inspections of conveyors. Handle gauges independently and
verify conveyor balancing reports. Conduct in-process inspections of conveyors.
Store conveyors appropriately and update quality records in both hard and soft
copies. Bowl Parts and Assembly Inspection Inspect bowl parts and assemblies
using conventional gauges, referring to drawings, BOM, DSS, and ERP. Perform
visual inspections of parts. Conduct in-process inspections of parts on
manufacturing machines. Assist machining operators in setting gauges for
inspection. Store and update inspection records in both hard and soft copies.
Final Inspection and Documentation Perform final inspections of decanters, HSS,
and PHE after testing, as per order specifications, drawings, and BOM from ERP.
Record bowl heat numbers, create specification sheets, conduct inspections, and
collect all relevant reports (test, leak test, balancing, electrical, loose
supply, pre-dispatch, etc.). Inspect loose supply and spare items for decanters,
HSS, and PHE as per order specifications and BOM. Maintain traceability records
for major decanter items. Verify all test reports, such as FAT, balancing,
noise, and leak test reports. Prepare documentation for customer inspection as
per standard QAP (scan all reports and upload documents and photos to the common
folder). Send relevant test documents to customers. Attend customer inspections.
Maintain final QA documentation. Ensure calibration of gauges from assembly.
Quality Management and Communication Record quality deviations in the deviation
database. Ensure corrective actions are taken for deviations. Communicate within
the team regarding issues, corrective actions, and improvements. Participate in
PRP, raise quality cards on CSB, and ensure corrective and preventive actions on
deviations. Update monthly quality records and the deviation database. Maintain
quality documentation for the related area. Investigate customer claims, perform
root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions. Expectations &
Responsibilities: Knowledge of welding as well as machining processes Analyze
process deviations/ root cause analysis and solutions. Initiate KAIZENs for QA
improvements in house. Basic understanding of gauge calibration, MSA, FMEA, etc.
Implement 5 S in related QA area. Maintaining inspection documents for
Customers. Daily tracking of quality issues/deviations and highlight in meeting,
ensure corrective actions. Zero inspection errors/inaccuracy during inspection.
Drive small projects for process improvements. Control of quality, deviations
and line stops, whenever required. Ensure internal/external customer
satisfaction regarding inspection processes. By own presence resolve the Quality
issues & communicate to all accordingly to all stake holders. Work in line with
defined HSE practices. Travel to all service centers, customer sites and
supplier sites as an when required. Competencies/ Profile: Communication &
Interpersonal skill (English, Hindi) Computer knowledge (MS office) Positive
attitude on commitments Be open and communicative. Cross culture awareness and
good knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 system Qualifications & experience: BE in
Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute. Time Management, Self interest 4
to 5 years of experience in quality control department from engineering
industries, Automotive organizations. System related Knowledge Key relationships
Service Operations, planning, internal/external customers SC Managers, RFSM
Manager, SCOM and FSOM OD & Support functions Suppliers, salespeople
organisation Authority level / Power of procuration: Act as owner of Service
Centre Operations Quality Improvements and drive the problem resolutions of
Quality issues. Ensure corrective actions on deviations at each repair stages
