Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Study Manager – Upstream Facilities, reporting
directly to HOD – Genesis to join our Genesis team based in Mumbai/ Noida.

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the
responsibilities below.
The Upstream Facilities Study Manager is responsible for leading and delivering
multi-disciplinary upstream facilities studies including feasibility,
conceptual, pre-FEED and front-end advisory scopes. The role ensures technical
excellence, safe and efficient study execution, quality delivery, Client
relationship management skills and strong commercial stewardship.
The Upstream Facilities Study Manager shall work within a study team or lead
smaller studies, interfacing with the wider Genesis organisation both locally
and globally. They shall provide facilities technical inputs and project
engineering on a variety of front end studies and bespoke operations
support/troubleshooting for clients globally.
The position requires a self-starter who can flexibly manage and deliver on
multiple priorities. A high level of commitment is required together with a

Main Accountabilities:
* Lead and oversee Upstream Facilities Engineering input into studies,
providing technical guidance and strategic direction.
* Manage multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver early-phase studies on
time, within scope, and to quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and
management of change processes throughout design and execution phases.
* Monitor project and study progress, track deliverables, and assist in
preparing management reports to support decision-making.
* Collaborate closely with client personnel and Genesis engineering specialists
to ensure project compliance, quality, and alignment with Genesis standards.
* Prepare clear, comprehensive study reports and presentations that effectively
communicate findings and recommendations.
* Develop integrated study plans aligned with asset planning and business
objectives, facilitating effective communication of facilities engineering
activities both onshore and offshore.
* Lead project meetings, coordinate activities, and manage study performance to
ensure objectives are met efficiently.
* Participate in design reviews, construction planning, HAZID/HAZOP sessions,
and technical impact assessments to ensure safety and technical integrity.
* Develop innovative, cost-effective technical solutions using the latest
industry design criteria and best practices.
* Interface with third-party engineering consultants and contractors, providing
technical guidance and ensuring deliverables meet project standards.
* Collaborate with tendering teams to develop high-quality proposals and bid
submissions in response to client inquiries.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing best
practices, work processes, and tools, incorporating lessons learned to
enhance project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:
Languages: English (Fluent)
Main skills:
* Degree qualified or with significant experience working in the oil and gas
industry or similar industry
* Previous experience of working as part of and leading a multi-discipline team
on facilities engineering studies / projects in the Upstream Industry
* Proven experience in developing solutions for greenfield and brownfield
project environments, incorporating installation and constructability
assessments
* Proven experience in brownfield modifications and debottlenecking studies
* Competence in supporting the development of cost and schedule estimates
* Exposure to and understanding of oil and gas Operator value drivers and stage
gate project delivery processes
* Detailed knowledge of relevant international standards, Client and project
specific standards
* Able to work independently and within integrated local and virtual teams
* Current offshore survival and medical certificates desired but not essential
* Flexibility for ad-hoc travel both within India and abroad
* Strong personal values and willing to take clear personal accountability for
actions
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills. This
requires the ability to articulate in a clear, concise and constructive
manner at the appropriate level for the intended audience
* Produces work of accurate and presentable quality in the appropriate formats
* Good organizational skills, SMART working methods and can demonstrate
personal effectiveness in previous roles
* Comfortable working with a variety of teams and parts of the organization
* Self-motivated and able to deliver in a goal orientated working environment
* Offshore experience preferred
* Experience in an operations or engineering project role preferred
* Experience in asset life extension projects preferred
* Experience working with FPSOs and Semi-Submersible Platforms is an advantage
* Experience developing teams and working cross boarders essential
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) Degree in Engineering
(Chemical/Petroleum/Mechanical), with 15-20 years of relevant industry
experience.
Commitment to continuous professional development (Chartered Engineer preferred)
