As a Supply Chain Manager – Operations at BSM, you will be responsible for
supporting and enhancing the Group’s strategic goals by ensuring uninterrupted
delivery of goods and services, maintaining compliance with global standards,
and strengthening the connection between ship and shore operations. This role is
pivotal in driving efficiency, transparency, and value creation across
procurement and supply chain functions, while fostering strong vendor
relationships and optimizing operational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support supply chain delivery by ensuring uninterrupted flow of goods and
services with transparency and adherence to compliance standards.
* Establish and review procedures by assisting in the development and regular
updates of procurement manuals and processes.
* Monitor procurement KPIs and ensure compliance with policies, escalating
non-compliance for corrective action.
* Coordinate vendor performance evaluations, pricing feedback, and recommend
approved vendors based on contract usage and turnover analysis.
* Consolidate survey data from customer satisfaction and supplier evaluations
to drive improvement initiatives.
* Maintain supplier base by building strong relationships, reviewing contracts,
and collaborating with suppliers for knowledge sharing and inventory
optimization.
* Strengthen vendor database through systematic monitoring, dispute resolution,
and blacklisting management.
* Review procurement policies to recommend improvements and prevent grey market
sourcing.
* Facilitate communication between buying, fleet, logistics, and administration
teams to ensure uniform processes and budget alignment.
* Analyze supply chain data including vendor databases, contracts, spend
patterns, and budget variances to prepare intelligence reports.
* Optimize logistics for efficient consolidation and delivery of goods to
warehouses and vessels.
* Manage procurement catalog by maintaining item master data and vendor
information accurately.
* Conduct vendor audits and support audit requirements with consolidated data.
* Onboard new suppliers and ensure timely updates of supplier information.
* Resolve disputes fairly between vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
* Support training initiatives for staff, vendors, and seafarers to enhance
awareness of tools, processes, and best practices.
* Promote supplier engagement through meetings, timely responses, and risk
mitigation.
* Contribute to system enhancements and group-wide projects for continuous
improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Mandatory requirement: mariner background with sea‑going experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or
related field.
* Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
preferred.
* Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and supply chain
operations.
* Strong background in compliance, auditing, and performance monitoring.
