The role involves maintenance of converters, EOT cranes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, gearboxes, and other critical equipment while ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and minimum downtime. The position also includes coordinating with operations and maintenance teams, planning shutdown activities, managing manpower, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.

Job Description
The Assistant Manager in Mechanical Maintenance for the Steel Melting Shop (SMS. plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of mechanical systems within the plant. This position is tasked with overseeing the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of critical mechanical equipment, including converters, EOT cranes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, and gearboxes. The role demands a strong focus on equipment reliability, safety compliance, and minimizing downtime to maintain uninterrupted plant operations. The Assistant Manager will coordinate closely with operations and maintenance teams to plan and execute shutdown activities effectively. Additionally, the role involves managing manpower, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing plant efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing maintenance strategies that align with company standards and safety procedures, ensuring the availability of critical spare parts, and maintaining comprehensive maintenance records.
