As a Systems Engineer II on the IAM team, responsibilities include ensuring
timely access to resources and designing secure identity solutions. Tasks
involve authentication, authorization, privilege management, and implementing
technologies like Enterprise Password Vault and Privileged Account Security.
These efforts enhance security, efficiency, reliability, and reduce risks,
costs, and manual work within Akamai's scalable IT infrastructure.

The Systems Engineer II handles the design, implementation, configuration, and
documentation of Akamai's Secrets Management solutions, including privileged
account management. Responsibilities include conducting technical research,
assessments, and performance analysis to shape strategies and offer guidance for
Identity and Secrets Management systems

As a Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

* Providing expertise in Secrets Management solutions, onboarding and
integrating applications while coordinating and planning integrations with
application owners and vendors.
* Providing technical support to business owners, ensuring integration success,
and offering Tier 3 assistance for Secrets Management tools and operational
escalations.
* Designing and implementing Secrets Management services to meet business
needs, ensuring scalability, robustness, performance optimization,
monitoring, problem resolution, and
thorough documentation.
* Ensuring seamless integration and testing of Secrets Management systems while
guiding staff and leveraging analytical skills to implement solutions.
* Staying informed on IT trends enables evaluating and implementing emerging
technologies effectively and efficiently.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

* Show 4+ years of hands-on experience in IAM Secret management with
educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Demonstrate with experience with enterprise secret management solutions such
as CyberArk EPV, CyberArk
Secrets Management Suite, Hashi Vault
* Demonstrate expertise in diagnosing, resolving,
and debugging complex issues related to Secrets Management efficiently and
effectively.
* Demonstrate expertise with source control systems (e.g., Git), configuration
management tools (e.g.,
Ansible), Windows scripting, and Linux/Unix authentication modules.
* Demonstrate expertise in One Identity Active Roles Server (ARS) configuration
and engineering, alongside
thorough knowledge of ITIL frameworks, processes, and procedures.
* Collaborate efficiently with technical teams, business units, HelpDesk,
Desktop Support, IT developers,
analysts, and end users seamlessly.
