TECHNICAL CONSULTANT, WORKFORCE SOFTWARE
Responsibilities:
o Obtain and maintain certification in WFS Product Suite applications required to
perform the role
o Continue to Learn WFS product configuration requirements (i.e., naming
conventions, importing templates, database structure, customizations, proper
sequencing)
o Responsible for configuring WFS Suite according to customer business requirements
using JavaScript, HTML, SQL or other scripting tools.
o Handle complex issues including administrative and configuration challenges with
minimal assistance
o Communicate roadblocks and see out guidance in a timely manner
o Write complex formulas that leverage mathematical and/or programming skills
o Perform unit and system testing of configured application to ensure test cases pass
as described by customer requirements
o Identify and escalate out of scope requirements to key stakeholders
o Support the confirmation and refinement of customer business requirements with
key stakeholders
o Responsible for participating and eventually leading, in the gathering and
identifying customer business requirements from users, customers, and other
stakeholders. This includes creating, maintaining business requirement documents,
noticeable use cases and process diagrams.
o Understand project scope and implementation approach for assigned projects
o Learn how to estimate work effort and communicate with key stakeholders on the
project
o Participate in facilitation of client workshops either onsite or remotely
demonstrating understanding in best practices during the implementation of
Workforce Management Software
o Deliver projects and tasks on time and within budget by effectively managing
workload
o Attend and participate in team meetings
o Follow established processes and best practices to continuously improve skills
o Provide project status updates to key stakeholders both internally and externally
o Partner with internal teams during project phases to ensure successful customer
implementation
o Collaborate with the WFS team to ensure thorough testing of the customers’
requirements
o Assist with roll-out and go-live activities, including data migration and system setup
o Become familiar with aspects of labor laws as it pertains to time and attendance
rules, scheduling and leaves of absences.
o Proactively participate in training courses and engage in self-directed learning to
acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve success and contribute to the
team's objectives
o Understand the customer needs in the development of strategic plans
o Troubleshoot issues and escalate problems to appropriate team members
o Maintain accurate and timely records of billable and non-billable hours to ensure
project profitability and meet utilization targets
o Ensure adherence to WorkForce Software's established documentation standards
and methodologies
o Identify opportunities to improve our product offerings based on customer feedback.
o Manage Customer expectations with relevant communication during key phases of
the project life cycle
o Document and communicate out of scope requirements and delays to the appropriate
team members
o Estimate work effort and communicate with Project Managers, customers and other
key stakeholders regarding project status
o Investigate issues reported during customer testing phases, including tracking and
reporting defects
o Mentor junior team members

Requirements:
✓ 2-4 Years experience in software implementations
✓ Minimum 2 years’ experience with programming language, preferably JavaScript
and/or SQL
✓ Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, HTML or other scripting tools
✓ Experience in implementing or training on a packaged software system or highly
complex internally developed application
✓ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills with a strong emphasis on Excel
✓ Understand waterfall and agile methodologies, frameworks, and practices in a
services delivery role
✓ Entrepreneurial mindset required, as the role requires capability of rapidly shifting
focus and responding to ever-changing conditions
✓ Strong communication skills both written and verbal
✓ Possesses basic problem-solving skills
✓ Experience or ability to read/write SQL and write simple queries
✓ Knowledgeable of and understand common implementation principles and lifecycle
✓ Capability to exercise mature judgement
✓ Demonstrates technical aptitude to learn quickly and adapts to new circumstances
✓ Ability to work on a dynamic, customer-focused team and establish excellent
working relationships
✓ Demonstrates a strong desire to grow functionally and technically as a professional
consultant
✓ Familiarity with or background in HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management, considered
a bonus
✓ Logical and technical mindset that can analyze problems and identify root causes
✓ Awareness of HCM applications and business processes
✓ Experience providing application support for complex software systems, preferred
✓ Programming experience utilizing JavaScript, C#, C++ or 4GL
✓ Familiarity with a report writer such as crystal reports, Cognos, actuate, etc.
✓ SQL report creation experience, preferred
✓ Work flexible hours
✓ All other duties as assigned

Education:
➢ Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
