Java Developer – Job Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain integrations and applications using Java/J2EE technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework). Develop web/UI components using modern frameworks such as React JS, delivering high-quality, user-friendly interfaces. Build and support interfaces using RESTful web services, handling JSON, XML, and CSV formats. Develop and consume APIs using Spring Boot / Spring MVC (REST Controllers). Work with enterprise Java technologies including Spring, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture. Strong involvement in database development, optimization, and performance tuning, with a focus on PL/SQL. Design and implement solutions based on architecture guidelines and business requirements. Collaborate effectively with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, QA, and production environments. Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and security best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery processes. Maintain clear documentation, including technical designs, API specifications, and support runbooks. Requirements / Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. 6–9 years of hands-on experience in Java development, specifically: Java / J2EE Technologies Spring Boot / Spring Framework Hibernate / JPA Experience with enterprise UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar. Strong experience in RESTful web services development and consumption. Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes – preferred). Strong expertise in PL/SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Proficiency in handling structured and semi-structured data formats (XML, JSON, CSV). Experience with integration protocols and messaging systems such as: REST / SOAP Kafka / RabbitMQ / JMS SFTP Understanding of API security, including authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT). Strong knowledge of logging, monitoring, and error handling in distributed systems. Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) Version control (Git) Build tools (Maven/Gradle) Must Have Strong technical expertise across Java backend development, integration frameworks, and databases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and business needs. Proven ability to work independently and within Agile teams.
