About The Role

The Value Stream Lead is accountable for end‑to‑end product coherence across the value streams.

This role has the expertise and product judgement of a Product Specialist but focuses on orchestration, alignment, and long‑term product integrity across multiple Product Experience Leads and delivery pods.

The Value Stream Lead ensures that what is being built:

is cohesive rather than fragmented
avoids duplicate or overlapping features
evolves as a single, usable product, not a collection of siloed experiences

What You’ll Be Doing

Value Stream Ownership & Product Coherence
Own the end‑to‑end value stream view of the product or platform.
Maintain a single, authoritative master feature set across all Product Experience Leads.
Ensure features are reused, extended, or evolved where appropriate—rather than duplicated.
Cross‑Product Alignment & De‑duplication
Work closely with all Product Experience Leads to:
identify overlapping requirements or features
resolve duplication before it enters delivery
promote shared capabilities and patterns
Act as the arbiter of product scope conflicts, ensuring alignment to the broader value stream.
Strategic Product Evolution
Envision and articulate the future evolution of the product across the value stream.
Define how today’s features ladder into longer‑term capability, usability, and scale.
Ensure incremental delivery decisions do not undermine long‑term product coherence.
Usability & Experience Consistency
Champion usability, consistency, and intuitive experience across the value stream.
Ensure that experiences designed by individual Product Experience Leads fit into a cohesive overall product experience.
Promote shared interaction patterns, terminology, and conceptual models where applicable.
Partnership with Product Experience Leads (Critical)
Operate as a strategic partner, not a gatekeeper, to Product Experience Leads.
Provide guidance, challenge, and alignment—without taking over their accountability.
Enable Product Experience Leads to move fast without fragmenting the product.
Stakeholder Alignment & Narrative
Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business, technology, and operations.
Communicate a clear, compelling value stream narrative: what the product is, how it fits together, and where it is going.
Ensure stakeholders understand trade‑offs made in the interest of coherence and reuse.

Essential Skills / Experience

Strong experience as a Product Specialist, Product Lead, or Product Strategist.
Proven ability to reason at system and value‑stream level, not just feature level.
Strong product judgement, with a bias for simplicity, reuse, and usability.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Ability to resolve conflict through clarity, evidence, and product thinking.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Experience operating across multiple products or journeys.
Experience working in Agile, product‑led, or scaled delivery environments.
Exposure to AI‑enabled delivery models.
