The Workday Data Conversion Associate supports the execution of data conversion activities for Workday implementations and optimization projects. The role focuses on preparing, transforming, validating, and loading data from legacy systems into Workday, while maintaining data quality, completeness, and alignment to business requirements. The Associate works under the guidance of conversion leads and collaborates with functional/technical teams to deliver conversion outcomes across modules such as HCM, Payroll, Financials, and Student (as applicable) Requirements: Support the end-to-end data conversion lifecycle, including data extraction support, transformation, mapping support, loading, and validation activities Assist in gathering and understanding data requirements and support the development of source-to-target mapping and conversion documentation (templates, mapping files, trackers). Prepare and maintain data conversion templates, reference ID support files, and validation/reconciliation outputs as part of conversion cycles. Execute data loads using Workday loading tools (as assigned), and support troubleshooting of load errors with guidance from senior team members. Perform data validation and reconciliation (counts, spot checks, exception tracking) and document results and issues in defect/error logs. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (conversion, integration, reporting, security, functional leads) to track dependencies and support conversion readiness for each build cycle. Participate in project cadence activities as needed (status updates, issue discussions), and escalate risks/issues through the defined process Willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak cycles. Expertise in ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Office Suite. Preferences: Current Workday certification (Core HCM, Financials, Advanced Data Conversion). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Technical skills: SQL, XML/XSLT, Web Services, VBA, ETL. Advanced Excel (Power Query, macros, complex formulas). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities. Relevant 4+ years of Workday data conversion experience; 2+ full lifecycle implementations.
