Terms of Service

Welcome to JobStack. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JobStack website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by JobStack ("we," "our," or "us").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using JobStack, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

JobStack provides AI-powered career tools including:

  • Resume building and optimization
  • Resume tailoring for specific job descriptions
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scoring
  • Job matching and recommendations
  • Job application tracking
  • Career guidance and suggestions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful activities.

4. Free and Paid Services

Early Access: JobStack is currently offering free access to all premium features for our first 1,000 users. This offer is subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.

Future Pricing: We may introduce paid plans in the future. Users who sign up during the free early access period may be eligible for special grandfathered pricing or benefits, which will be communicated separately.

We reserve the right to change our pricing, payment terms, and feature availability at any time with reasonable notice to users.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to JobStack, including resumes, personal information, and career data ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your content to provide the Service
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI algorithms
  • Display your content back to you within the Service

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your User Content. Do not submit content that is false, misleading, or infringes on others' rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by JobStack and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

The JobStack name, logo, and related trademarks are our property. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

8. AI-Generated Content

JobStack uses artificial intelligence to provide suggestions, optimizations, and recommendations for your resume and career. You acknowledge that:

  • AI suggestions are recommendations, not guarantees of employment
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content
  • AI outputs may not be perfect and should be verified for accuracy
  • Final decisions about your resume content are your responsibility

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., job boards, LinkedIn). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Using our Service will result in job interviews or employment

Job searching involves many factors beyond our control. While we strive to provide valuable tools, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBSTACK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JobStack and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful activities.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India.
